New rules on becoming a Registered Behavior Technician
Becoming an RBT is one of the more rewarding career decisions you could make.
It's also one of the more complicated.
The rules and guidelines on courses, applications and testing to be a Registered Behavior Technician seem to change on a fairly regular basis. And the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, which oversees the RBT profession, has announced that new rules are coming in just a few more days!
What does that mean for you?
Very little.
The changes rolling out in early 2025 are all related to the way an applicant submits a certification application after completing a 40-hour certification course.
If you're interested in becoming an RBT, you still need to start with the 40-hour course. The rules about the content in that course are not expected to change in the near future.
Looking for a 40-hour RBT training course? Here's the one we recommend.
